Conceived before 1898, the Right Clenched Hand was enlarged by Henri Lebossé in 1905.
The Comite Rodin states that there were 25 casts made in total. The first example was cast in bronze in 1926, and the last in 1965.
This bronze cast from 1962 will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l’oevre sculpte d’Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame and Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay.
